Race-Based Medicine: What Is It and What Is the Danger?
The use of race in medicine has recently become a very controversial topic. This lecture will define race-based medicine and summarize the historical context and rationale for the use of race in medicine. Dr. Luzum will also describe the benefits and risks of using race in medicine, and future directions for race-based medicine in the context for both scientists and clinicians.
