Dr. Jackson Burton is currently a Director in Clinical Pharmacology at Biogen. He works in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease clinical development focusing on pharmacometric applications. He also oversees life cycle management for marketed multiple sclerosis products. Jackson was previously the Executive Director of the Quantitative Medicine Program at the Critical Path Institute. There he oversaw the development of quantitative solutions for a variety of disease areas including neurological disorders, immunology and inflammation, rare diseases, and pediatrics. These included clinical trial simulation tools, model-based biomarkers tools, machine learning and AI for remote monitoring technology in movement disorders, and evidence generation from real-world data. Jackson started his career at Takeda in the modeling and simulation group in DMPK, where he conducted systems modeling for translational questions regarding antibody drug conjugate transport and distribution. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Arizona in applied math.
