R. Donald Harvey, PharmD, BCOP, FCCP, FHOPA is a Professor in the Departments of Hematology and Medical Oncology and Pharmacology and Chemical Biology at the Emory University School of Medicine. He is also Medical Director of the Clinical Trials Office and Director of the Phase I Clinical Trials Section in the Winship Cancer Institute. He earned his degrees at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and completed residencies at the University of Kentucky (pharmacy practice) and UNC (hematology/oncology). Since joining Emory in 2007, he has established a clinical pharmacology and Phase I program focused on translational sciences and clinical trial policies to improve patient outcomes and data generalizability. Dr. Harvey has over 150 peer-reviewed publications in original research, review articles, and book chapters. He is active in a number of professional organizations in oncology (ASCO, AACR) and pharmacy/pharmacology (HOPA, ASCPT), is a former President of HOPA. He has been an ASCPT member since 2009 and was Chair of the Oncology Scientific Section 2014-2015.
