Dr. William Murphy, PharmD is currently a 4th year PhD candidate/UNC-Duke Collaborative Clinical Pharmacology T32 Postdoctoral Fellow in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Washington College and his PharmD from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy in 2019. His dissertation work is focused on identifying alterations in drug transporters during nonalcoholic fatty liver disease progression to better inform drug dosing in this population. He is working under the guidance of Kim Brouwer, PharmD, PhD. Dr. Murphy’s other research interests include pharmacogenomics of drug toxicities, physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling, data science, and machine learning.
