Angela Pollinzi is a second year MSc student in the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. She completed her undergraduate degree at McMaster University in Integrated Science, with a major in Biochemistry. Previously, she has worked in the area of nanoformulations for drug delivery. Currently, she is working in Dr. Micheline Piquette-Miller's lab, working on optimizing proteomics techniques for use in deducing both the global and membrane proteomes of the placenta in women with autoimmune diseases. She is interested in how changes in protein expression may affect drug disposition and fetal outcomes. She is the recipient of the Candian Graduate Scholarship (Masters) from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR).
