Kana Mizuno, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Kyoto University in Japan and joined the pediatric clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics training program at Cincinnati Children’s under the supervision of Prof. Alexander A. Vinks, Pharm.D, Ph.D., FCP. Her research focuses are the development and implementation of pediatric PK/PD model-informed precision dosing especially for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in collaboration with the Cancer and Blood Disease Institute at Cincinnati Children’s. She also has supported the development of pediatric clinical trial design as part of Model-Informed Drug Development for pharmaceutical companies as a member of Cincinnati Children’s’ Pharmacometrics Center of Excellence. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2013. Her research has been well recognized by receiving ASCPT Presidential Trainee Awards and her publications.
