Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
Zachary Taylor recently completed his PhD in the Molecular, Cellular, and Biochemical Pharmacology program at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and is now a postdoctoral research fellow in the Division of Clinical Pharmacology at Cincinnati Children's and current T32 trainee in the Pediatric Developmental and Clinical Pharmacology program. Zachary earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. His undergraduate interests in neuroscience and psychopharmacology lead him to pursue a Master of Science in Safety Pharmacology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, which is where he met his thesis mentor, Dr. Laura Ramsey, of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Zachary completed his doctoral thesis under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Ramsey, where he focused on 1.) understanding the pharmacogenetic impact of SLCO1B1 on low-dose methotrexate pharmacokinetics and therapeutic response and 2.) better understanding the inter-individual pharmacokinetic variability in high-dose methotrexate to improve clinical care. Zachary continues to work the in clinical pharmacoogy space with an emphases on pharmacokinetic modeling, model informed precision dosing, and clinical decisin support. He has been an ASCPT member since 2018 and attended his first meeting in March 2019. Zachary looks forward to attending his second in-person ASCPT annual meeting in 2023.
