Anna Fochesato, MSc, is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Fondazione The Microsoft Research - University of Trento Centre for Computational and Systems Biology (COSBI), Italy, with a scholarship on hybrid approaches for hierarchical, multiscale mathematical modeling in precision medicine. She earned her MSc in Mathematics from the University of Padova, Italy, with a thesis on statistical inference in genetics developed at The Institue of Cancer Research, UK. During her Ph.D. program, she was Visiting Researcher at the University of California, San Francisco where she studied nonlinear mixed effect models for PK/PD applications. She is actively involved in several collaborations with private research institutions, academia, and industrial partners on infectious disease spreading and treatments.
