Dr. Pieter Van Brantegem is a postdoctoral researcher in the Savic lab at the University of California San Francisco. He earned his PharmD and PhD from KU Leuven, Belgium. His research interests include infectious diseases, mechanistic pharmacokinetics, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling and simulation, and model-informed drug development. Currently, he focuses on improving combination drug regimens for tuberculosis with the aim to better understand optimal dosing strategies that provide high cure rates.
