Dr. Kara Rademeyer, PharmD, MSc, is currently a PhD student at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy studying the brain, HIV, and opioids. She earned her PharmD from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy, and completed her Masters in Clinical Research and Biostatistics from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine while pursuing her PhD. She has published originial research and presented her research related to HIV and opioids in the brain. Dr. Rademeyer is the president of her graduate student body and is a member of two honor societies, Phi Kappa Phi and Rho Chi. In addition to her HIV and opioid interactions within the brain, she is currentyl working on a manuscript related to policy change for medication assisted treatment in the criminal justice system.
