Dr. Karen Brown, PharmD, is currently a Research Scientist at the Skaggs Institute for Health Innovation at the University of Montana. She earned her PharmD from the University of Montana in 2020 and completed her postdoctoral fellowship in 2022 under the mentorship of Dr. Erica Woodahl. She currently studies barriers and facilitators of pharmacogenomics implementation in resource-limited areas, with a focus on rural and Indigenous populations. Her future prospective research will evaluate the impacts of a pharmacogenomics service deployed via telemedicine on clinical outcomes and healthcare utilization. Her research interests include health equity, rural health, pharmacogenomics, and medication outcomes.
