Dr. Muluneh Fashe, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his Ph.D. in Toxicology from the University of Eastern Finland, Finland, and completed a fellowship at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS/NIH)in Durham NC. He currently studies mechanisms of altered drug metabolism and transport in pregnant individuals using in vitro sandwiched cultured human primary hepatocytes, humanized pregnant mice, and plasma and urine samples collected from voluntary pregnant and nonpregnant women. Muluneh has published original research and review articles in multiple scientific journals and presented at several scientific conferences in many countries. He has been an ASCPT member since 2021 and served as an abstract reviewer for the ASCPT conference 2022.
