Dr. Min Wang, MD, is currently a research fellow at Mayo Clinic with appointment in the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases. He earned his MD from China. After 3 years research training in a lab of cardiac functional studies at the University of Cincinnati, he joined Dr. Richard Weinshilboum and Dr. Naveen Pereira (cardiology clinician) joint lab and started his research training in cardiovascular pharmacogenomics studies. He has presented his research work at scientific meetings, such as annal meetings of American Heart Association (AHA), European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and American College of Cardiology (ACC) and has published original research papers in this area. To broaden his horizons, enrich his experiences and keep his knowledges updated, Dr. Weinshilboum encouraged him to join ASCPT. Dr. Wang is currently working on several pharmacogenomic research projects to identify biomarkers and pharmaco-therapeutic strategies for heart failure.
