Dr. Ingolf Cascorbi, MD, PhD, is Professor of Pharmacology and Vice Dean of Studies at the Medical Faculty, University of Kiel and Director of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology, University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Kiel, Germany. He earrned a PhD in biochemistry from the Free University Berlin Germany, and an MD from the Humboldt University Berlin. He specialized in clinical pharmacology at the Charite Medical Center Berlin. His research interests are in variability in drug response, in particular in pharmacogenomics and -epigenomics, drug-drug interactions and mechanisms of drug resistance in oncology. He is member of various further scientific boards and is currently President of the International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR). Ingolf Cascorbi has been member of ASCPT since 2005 and Associate Editor of Clin Pharm Ther since 2012.
