Dr. James M. Stevenson, PharmD, MS, BCPP, is an Assistant Professor at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His primary appointment is with the Division of Clinical Pharmacology within the Department of Medicine, with a secondary appointment in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences. He earned his PharmD from the University of Michigan and completed his residency, fellowship, and MS in Clinical and Translational Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He was formally an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy & Therapeutics at the University of Pittsburgh. His work entails clinical, translational, and practical aspects of incorporating pharmacogenetic information into clinical care. Much of this original research surrounds the pharmacogenetics of agents used in psychiatric and cardiovascular medicine.
