Dr. Elizabeth K. Rutkowski, MD is an associate professor of neurology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University. She is NIH-funded and published as a principal investigator researching the long-term manifestations of COVID-19 infection with dozens of national media and conference presentations educating in this area of expertise. She is heavily involved in teaching medical students and neurology residents, currently serving as the medical school's neurology clerkship director and the assistant program director of the neurology residency program. She graduated from University of South Florida College of Medicine and completed her neurology residency at the University of California, San Francisco and is board-certified in neurology. As a neurohospitalist, her broad clinical expertise is in treating hospitalized patients with neurologic disorders including stroke, seizures and epilepsy, headache, brain trauma, and infectious and inflammatory diseases of the nervous system.
