Rasika Karnik M.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago and serves as the Medical Director of their Post-Covid Recovery Clinic. She earned her MD from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas-Southwestern. She has been seeing Post-Covid ("Long Covid") patients since November 2020 and plays an active role in resident and medical student clinical education in General Internal Medicine. Dr. Karnik has presented on Long Covid at multiple national meetings, is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's Multi-Disciplinary Committee on PASC ("Long Covid") and has published in the field.
