Dr. Mariam Ahmed, PhD, is currentaly an Associate Director at Takeda (rare hematology and genetic diseases). Before joining Takeda, she was a clinical pharmacology reveiwer at FDA. Dr. Ahmed earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota and her thesis work focused on applications of pharmacometrics to rare diseases. She has published both original research and review papers in this area. She also serves as an editor for the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology. She has been a member of ASCPT since 2017 and has served as the rare disesaes community co-chair.
